The camera quality is very bad especially the front cam.The details are gone after the dcim kicks in and the rear camera,there is over exposure of light.There is also no way to turn off HDR in camera for photos.

I believe phone 2 needs an update. It should also take 12,5 MP 2x photos. The way Apple using its 48 MP camera to get 2x high quality photos and videos.

Also the flash isn’t auto at all, even if you set to red flash icon which is auto mode, the led flash is used on every pic day or night, it isn’t seeing there’s enough light in a sunny day outside or bright room, it’s stupid tbh & yes the HDR can’t be disabled & I suspect this is also linked to the flash issue.
I agree, the same with me. They should give the option to disable the HDR mode. Plus they should also give option to use the filters while recording a video.

My friend purchased samsung galaxy s21 fe which is like old-age samsung phone on the same day I purchased nothing phone 2. Everything is good except for camera’s, there was huge difference. Is it a software issue because it got pretty strong hardware right ??

SahilChauhan N most likely doesn’t have a skilled enough team yet to extract the kind of results the main sensor is capable of. Other brands using the same sensor have been able to get much better results.
N has a long way to go in the camera dept.
And there are a lot of other shortcomings to be addressed.
I fear that improvements may not come soon.
Instead on focusing on rapidly improving the NP2, they’ve moved to the CMF line & now to clothing…..

Seems fine to me. Not any worse than Pixel phones.
But then again, I ain’t picky about the camera, if I was in to professional pictures I would have gotten an actual camera.

GordonLutz Yeah the phone’s camera is just fine, I’d say good even. But if I actually want good pictures I have a mirrorless camera for that.
Yes! CAMERA can be improved Nothing please look into it and give us better updates for camera because imx890 and gen 1 is very capable for producing good quality picture.
We should have an option to Disable & Enable HDR in Camera.
I don’t get it. My Phone(2) is undoubtedly giving me the best camera pictures, but that’s subjective also. Would you like to show some images to elaborate your concern?
I show people the pics I take with my Nothing Phone 2 and they think the pictures are amazing.
But those are people that have iPhones and are probably used to crappy picture quality.

I really think they should’ve given an option to disable the hdr option, because the picture which I’m clicking are really bad.
This photos are over processed.

I felt bad today while taking photo, I clicked only one photo but on seeing it, I kept the phone inside pocket. There is something, nothing really needs to fix in camera. @Rob 
When a light source is behind our face.. photos are looking pathetic..
Hope they improve that too .. and yes,I want manual HDR on/off

Totally dispointed with the camera…Heard great things abt nothing user experience but camera dispointed a lot…. hope they will fix with upcoming OTA update…

Recently purchased nothing phone 2, user experience is superb, phone is slightly bigger in size & weight it should be 6.2-6.4″ size factor would be best.
Camera: manual mode is essential for HDR and Night mode..auto night and HDR always messing the quality. Camera needs lots of improvement specially in portrait mode..as all portrait photos becomes smooth. Details are missing.
