Nothing Phone (2) camera feedback

The camera quality is very bad especially the front cam.The details are gone after the dcim kicks in and the rear camera,there is over exposure of light.There is also no way to turn off HDR in camera for photos.

KinoRongavilla surprised to see this comment. Even at a fair distance my camera doesn’t reproduce an original image! Edge detection is awful!

LordGirm My rear camera is no better either. Intact all the short distance photos are coming good (less than 10 feet away) but all long distance ones are awful with horrible edge detection. Horribly it creates sort of ghost images. I wrote to customer support but is of no help. I don’t know why none complaints that the zoom is just not available when set 50MP as the option ! Will next software update fix this basic ask? Give me atleast a 2x, 4x zoom!

LordGirm yeah me too I have phone 2. The quality is missing after i check in Google photos app and the photo processing is taking time

My camera got worse after the Android 14 Update. Still video performance is good. Selfie camera is an utter failure and in main camera there is no option to turn off HDR. Need to be fixed by an major camera update.

Front camera is worst.No details.Full granes. 32 mp is for nothing.exposure handing is so bad . Hdr control is hit and miss.Man this phone need an big camera update atleast for front camera

Been facing trouble with the processing of the photos since the latest update. Especially while taking photos of people, the processing seems to brighten the persons face way too much. In some cases it goes to that extent that it makes the person’s face seems to be glowing like a bulb or something, as if emitting its own light while the rest of the areas retain close to normal lighting. Pls do look into this and consider improving this in any further updates.

They are just giving security patches to phone 2, not completed ever a year of launch.

Ultrawide camera is not clear and detailed. There is not auto focus. Kindly fix this in update

Phone 2 has autofocus in its ultra wide camera. It even support macro shot with ultra wide camera.

Camera looks to b a hit and miss for Nothing…which sadly is not good. Al other companies are looking to improve their camera …but nothing …wel a sad story…

Exposure is the biggest issue for Nothing…dono but they need to fix it with an issue…

Front camera pictures needs definite improvement. Especially in hdr mode.

The pictures from the front camera are always enhanced and does not look natural at all .it would be really helpful if just like for the rear camera the “raw” option would be available for the front camera

Mr_SuryaTeja it’s because of flickering rate of the light. In India, light flickers at 50hz. Actually the HDR should switch to a shutter speed where the light doesn’t flicker and stack those images. Anti - banding should be implemented tho.

The problem here is it tried to stack an image with banding with a image without banding and the algorithm got confused and gave this output.
