Not an official confirmation as of yet, Nothing is paying attention to its investor, [asking](https://twitter.com/nothing/status/1459101105317683214) the million-dollar question: **“who thinks we should do this?”** Echoing the curiosity, do you think Nothing should release their signature ear (1) in Black? Perhaps as a Special Edition to celebrate the final stretch of 2021, perhaps testing the waters for a future when fading can be an act of two shades, transparently black. And if there’s a new edition looming in the black shadows, do you expect it to be a fresh coat of paint or a proper Limited Edition with a different unboxing experience to match? To those of you who bought them already, how do you feel about it? To those of you who are still waiting, is this alleged variant an even more enticing proposition? If true, it’s not the first time a company refreshes an SKU with a new color, something that’s tempting to manufacturers across the board. By doing so, not only is a company attempting a new round in the press, it’s also broadening and revitalizing their portfolio. A transparent product is a revealing act as a black one is a decision in mysterious design - not to hide but to discreetly absorb and incorporate all colors. Black and white are a shock in balance, the dark side versus the light, the opposite sides teaming up to make you stop at the stark contrast Casey and a Sharpie, trampoline to the extrapolation and speculation. Thats so sick! I really hope there are gonna be such a version 😄 (or maybe even more colors!) Or a matt black version like @Helasending mentioned in Rudi’s post!

Kastello I’m kinda late to the party but I’m pretty sure today is the day that ear (1) comes out in a black color way. I honestly doubt that they will be matte black but never the less a black pair of ear (1)s would be pretty cool but I still don’t think it will look as good as our white and black color og color way.

But to each their own, my dad said they would look better all black so when they come out I hope he likes them but’s he’s not really into TWS.

Haha, Casey is just the king of DIY and the rough around the edges aesthetic! (Just look at those fingernails!)

Adding another colorway could be a great way to generate excitement whilst us fans wait for the next product launch. Given the charging case innards and earbud chambers are white, I think a stealthy black alternative would look pretty epic!

If ear(1) comes in a special edition I would like to invert the colors of it. Pure matte black completely and white stem with black letters of nothing ear(1). That would be sick. Casey is always a creative man. It looks pretty cool though. Fingers crossed for a special edition 🤞.

Also such a Casey thing to do to just Sharpie over an object to make it look the way he wants it to be! 😆

FilipJacobson Nicely spotted, thank you for sharing since I completely missed that post before.

If they release a new variant in black, I think it is really clever: they’ll have something new for the Holidays and they (company and product) will be mentioned again in the news.

Questions are: will this new color attract costumers who skipped the original variant and will the ones who already have them be tempted enough to get a second pair? 🤓

I just saw this too, but then the other 2 tiles are white…What tricks have they got up their sleeve to announce the black version? Perhaps it’ll be a Cyber Monday/Post-Black Friday drop?

Louis ☕️ As they dropped a tripple post in one go, my best guess is that they will release the next trio (next horizontal line, above these 3 posts) in an upcoming feed drop, possibly revealing more of a black version, maybe the middle picture will be black…. but who knows ;-) Cyber Monday sounds like a good guess of when we could possibly see the official announcement! As far as this goes, only a teaser that could be interpreted as being the black version, hehe.
