Password for hidden icons screen

Hii nothing , I am using nothing phone (1) since last 6 months and am fully comfortable with this device But according to me in **NOTHING OS 2.0** in the hide app feature I think that you should design it like that when the app icon is hide the app should be showed having an install option in the Google Play store Means , The app will be working and be there in the phone but when it's hide there should be the option of installing it again from the Play Store A kind request to Nothing company to take a appropriate action and attention on this topic Thank you once again Nothing company and Nothing team for making a phone like this Your faithful, Customer

There is no privacy for hide app. Anyone can see your hide app. By swiping is there any lock or password available for hide app. Folder?????

Hello, no there isn’t anything like that at this time. You can send a suggestion for this through settings>system>feedback, that’s how to reach the people that need to see this.👍

There is no option to lock the hidden folder. But you can hide the app normally and lock the app so that even if someone gets the app, they will not be able to access.

Hidden Apps should have a lock/pin and notifications should not come from those apps unless you open the hidden apps section. I mean, having an app hidden and then getting a notification from it like an usual app isn’t ideal. Am I missing something or is this feature unavailable?

Hidden app can be seen swiping right on app drawer without any lock option. It is same for all nothing devices. If a person who knows about nothing os finds my phone unlocked, he/she can easily access my hidden apps. Hidden apps feature should be unique for each user like dialing a specific code on dialer to pop up hidden apps. This issue must be taken care of for better privacy.

HargovindGill - there is also the App Locker feature in Nothing OS already.

Then apps can be locked if the app gets closed, or the phone is locked and then unlocked. Each unlocking of the app needs your phones PIN or finger print. Search for “App Lock” in settings. This should be what you are looking for.

He appears to be asking about hiding apps behind a password, not just password protecting them.

Someone wanting to hide dating apps from their partner will want the apps in a separate drawer that requires a password to open. @HargovindGill is saying the hidden drawer on Nothing OS is not password protected, making it next to useless.

People have all sorts of reasons for wanting to hide apps. Could be that they don’t want others finding their crypto wallet, or seeing games like Pokémon Go! on their phone.

Ealesy101 Lol!! Not so devious intentions brother… Some of digital payment apps in India doesnot require a password if opened within 10 seconds of unlocking the phone. Thats why these apps need to be hidden. Realme phones have the feature to open a separate drawer by dialing a 4/6 digit pin on dialer app.

In My nothing Phone 2a hidden apps is not locked anybody can see what is hidden apps in my phone.

I want to please Lock Hidden apps.!!

Hi nothing team, our current app locker only supports lockscreen pin or fingerprint. It’s essential to have an option to choose different password other than existing password. It’s very useful feature in certain scenarios. People who agree cmt on this post.

Hello friends I am new user of nothing and I found it impressive I don’t want to point out drawback or anything but I will say please add a layer of security to hidden app drawer it is easily accessible by the menu and it opens without any layer atleast add pin or fingerprint lock to make it unaccessible to any other person then the owner please rest I found it is best Cleanest os I ever came across
