Lack of higher FPS support in games

just a confusion 🤔reg. HighFPs mode in some games…it is quit difficult for me to understand that nothing phone 1 with less CPU performance and GPU provides game with HighFPS rate in certain games(heating issue exceptional )..…nothing phone 2 failing to match up with its predecessor makes me wonder is it normal for a device with such price range. battery optimisation in phone2 is far superior than phone1 it is apprciable in every ascept…but there should not be any compromise in gaming… and also they should also focus on their own game mode, present game mode provides less options and is not reliable (no pop up game mode logo in my case)…

AgentY I didn’t quite understand how you did it. Do I have to hold down on the game screen?

lucatambe You put an app in a pop up view(you can google how to do that, there are a few ways of doing that) and then open it back up in full screen.

AgentY Bro after the stable update 3.0 they actually removed that fps glitch workaround but didn’t fix the issue😭😭😭 now pop up method won’t work.

zephery regarding mlbb, i just open the game, minimize it and open youtube, play one video and let it play on pop up, then enter the game and swipe the mini youtube box to the left most and the game runs on 120

Nothing Please fix the 60 fps cap for games -like its been like months , i have been using beta the moment it was available and even updated to stable , hoping they fixed the cap BUT NOTHING.

I am playing Minecraft on 60 fps then I realised it set it on 120 fps. I tried every method to get 120 fps but it is limited to 60 Fps . Please accept my request I am a new nothing user but this issue is bothering me.

Suggestion : you can add a setting where we can change the default fps limited for any app like in ONEPLUS.

I paid to PLAY at 120FPS, not Scroll the UI at 120 Refresh rate.
And Nothing2 definitely have the potential to run my game at 120FPS,
Please Fix it. @Nothing

A Workaround for now,
Enable show FPS from DeveloperMode & confirm that UI is running at GREEN 120.
Then, Set target FPS to 120 of the Game,
and Make the OS overlay any type of UI.
Like a Notification, Call should do the same, some app that shows floating FPS is best.

sadly I do not have a video,
I now use “System Monitor Cpu Ram Battery” app green icon.
and enabled a floating FPS Monitor UI. (that tricks nothing into refreshing @120FPS )
Now, In-game, Set 120FPS from game’s settings, to hopefully see FPS above 60.

I’m the developer myself, So I’ve confirmed it on my game by printing FPS internally.

*Update*

After recent Update of 4.0,
Our my Game is running at 120 if game Settings allow.
No UI Overlay required as suggested earlier.
Cheers to us all. We were heard after all. 🙂
