Animations - A Deal breaker

OnePlus has gone a mile ahead in terms of Animations dethroning iOS. Other companies are catching up like One UI, etc.

I hope NOTHING improves it’s animations too. I understand the NOS 3.0 animations are good but not smooth enough.

I don’t think nothing os Animations are bad. They are smooth are responsive, i would say definitely better than one ui or hyper os. The new dot matrix animations are pretty awesome.

The thing is, animations literally define how smooth a device is. In NOS even closing and opening apps have wonderful animations thanks to stock android experience.

A distinction must be made between a good, meaningful animation and a supposedly fluid one that contributes nothing to functionality. I recently bought an iPad Pro and I’m at the end of my tether because of the slow animation. The tablet with the most powerful processor is my slowest device at home when it comes to animations in the menu, apps and so on. You always have to keep that in mind when judging animations.

Til21 I’m shocked i also own an ipad pro m4, the animations are smooth and stunning. Animations are literally the most important reason ios is so famous.

Although if it’s your first ipad you might have some problems getting used to the animations as they are completely different from Android

IchBinAran I know this thread is not about iPads, but I must say, that I am not really satisfied with this device. YouTube crashes very often, it feels very slow and some (essential) functions are missing imo… (e.g. swiping back gesture from android)

I don’t see anything wrong with the Nothing OS animations, they are mostly smooth, the only lag I noticed since OS 3.0 update is swipibg down two times for quick settings, every now and then the animations seems somewhat laggy. Having said that, I never used One Plus so I can’t do any comparisons. At least compared to Obe UI 6.x on my Galaxy Fold 4 I think Nothing compares very well in terms of smoothness.

Calling them a deal breaker seems quite far stretched IMHO.
