Unable to skip the setup wizard after update to OS 3

Hello, I have cmf phone and last night it auto updated to Nothing OS 3. I woke and found that the initial info / setup wizard for nothing os 3 is not going away. I am not able to skip it, or click through it. I tried restarting several times. Is there anything I can do. Really hoping to not have to factory reset this.
Attached is the image of this wizard, I am able to click next 5 times then something about lock screen will come up momentarily to again come back to this first step. Similarly skip button also momentarily show something about lock screen and then comes back to this first step.

The SetupWizardOverlay in Nothing phones is so inconsistent with the Android nature. On first setup, after that "what's new" screen it is prompting you to select your visual style. But the animation looks like it's switching to another app. (?) Also, sometimes when you unlock the phone, even after setup, it displays that visual style popup and if you choose something there, that you have to do, it RESETS your entire home screen layout and probably wallpaper. Nothing needs to fix this.
