Subject: Bugs after Android 15 3.0 Update – DPI and FPS Issues
Device: Nothing Phone 1
OS Version: Android 15 3.0
Description of the Issue:
After updating to Android 15 3.0, I have been experiencing several issues related to DPI settings and FPS performance in games. Below are the details of the problems:
1. DPI Issues:
When I increase the DPI (dots per inch) on my Nothing Phone 1, the system starts exhibiting multiple bugs, causing performance instability and graphical glitches. The UI elements become misaligned, and some applications do not render properly, resulting in a poor user experience.
2. FPS Performance in Games:
Mobile Legends: Despite unlocking 120 FPS in the game, the phone does not maintain a stable 120 FPS. The gameplay feels laggy, and the frame rate frequently drops below the expected 120 FPS, even though the setting is enabled.
PUBG (and other games): The game does not allow the use of GFX Tool, and even though 120 FPS is supported on the device, the frame rate is capped below 120 FPS in the game, significantly affecting the gaming experience.
It seems that after the Android 15 3.0 update, any game that previously supported 120 FPS is now unable to reach that frame rate, resulting in a less smooth and enjoyable experience.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Increase DPI in device settings.
2. Open any supported game (e.g., Mobile Legends, PUBG).
3. Try unlocking 120 FPS (where applicable).
4. Notice the performance issues: Frame rate drops, inability to reach 120 FPS, and glitches when DPI is increased.
Expected Behavior:
The phone should support higher DPI without causing bugs or glitches in the UI.
Games should be able to unlock and maintain a consistent 120 FPS as advertised, without any performance drops or restrictions.
Additional Information:
This issue appeared immediately after the Android 15 3.0 update.
The problem persists across multiple games and also when adjusting the DPI settings.
Please advise on possible solutions or if further troubleshooting is required.
