Nothing_zXAH9pyZXa Intelligent Charging takes effect when your phone reaches 80%+ charge. After 80% the phone will charge slowly.

On your issue, it is highly possible that you have a hardware issue either with the Type-C port, cable, charging brick or maybe the power source itself.

I’m using Nothing Phone 1. Updated to the latest version 2.5.3 A. After update my phone charging speed became very slow and draining like a hell.

Even it’s showing Rapid charging but charging very slow. Even in idle it’s draining very fast. Seems like a bug.

YuvarajUV checkphone temp summer time in india phone will heat and charging will become slow bcoz of that

I have also same problem with nothing phone 2a, I have everything original still it’s not using 45w speed. Its happening 70% of time 30% it’s detect 45w and charges quick. it’s surely a software bug

The charging situation is really weird, I myself tested some chargers, all PPS supported(without PPS you stuck at 18W), at the right phone stats to trigger 40w+ charging (phone below 35 degrees Celsius, battery level below 20%, screen off), and with a physical charging meter(Kamera VA-3050C) connected to the type C-C cord(Lindy 5A supported).

Some worked, example like the Xiaomi 67w charger(18V-2.XA=40W+), but the Anker prime 737 65W stuck at 27W+(9V-3A=27W), elecom 65W(pps 45w) charger stuck at 27(same as the Anker 737)…

I also looked around the web and found out the Anker prime brick does support 3.3V~11V-5A through testing, so I assume the problem is with the phone

I hope they can look into this problem

While Nothing team Have mentioned that they support 45w PD*/PPS/QC.While it does fast charge on chargers That supports PPS. but if you use Only charger that has PD it will never go above 12w and 3000amp.

I’m not able to understand why they are marketing PD if their phone doesn’t support Proper PD charging

i’ve spigen 70w pd charger it fast charges my laptop and iPad on their maximum charging speed but on nothing phone 2 it goes only to 12w max and their website have not mentioned that your charger should support PPS Not PD or Else cry for 2hrs to full charge.

it for does mention on thier website:

To ensure optimum charging, we recommend you use a Nothing PPS protocol charger, turn off the screen, and charge at room temperature (25°C±3°C). The full charge time will be around 1Hr.

But why bothering to mention PD.

Merged 1 post from Nothing Phone 2 charging issue with PD chargers.

VivekBhagat I’m using the official nothing charger tho but not able to charge with in one hour do you know wby by any chance?

Im using Xiaomi 33W charger, tops up (100%) the phone 2 within 70 minutes. Temperature of the phone is around 33° to 35° Celsius.

So it’s okay for me. So as per Nothing claim 45W charger might charge the phone within 55 minutes.

        Hi, Good day.

I am also experiencing the same thing. But I am just wondering why should the Battery Health and Adaptive Battery be disabled if trying to fast charge. Fast charging works for me once I turn the two settings off. If those settings are turned on, it shows charging rapidly but the charging is very slow. Is it a bug? Should I always turn those config off?

        Much appreciated.

        Thanks,

Same issue here 🙁, when I checked the live wattage consumption it is not crossing 12W, even with other PD chargers as well. Nothing has to fix this ASAP using a S/W update.
