sheldon. The Essential Space and Essential Key are specifically designed for the Nothing Phone (3a) series, which is scheduled for launch on March 4, 2025. These features include an AI-powered hub for content organization and a dedicated button for quick access to various functionalities. While Nothing has been diligent in providing updates and new features to existing devices, it appears that the Essential Space and Key will be introduced exclusively with the Phone (3a) series. Users of the Phone (2a) may not have access to these specific features.
yukilab🇯🇵 sheldon. It’s quite frustrating that Essential Space can’t be used on the Phone (2) or (2a). Is it due to AI performance limitations? Or is it just for differentiation? If it’s technically possible, they should make it available.
sean (1) I’ve really wanted a one-touch dictaphone or note taker so I could, for example, record critical thoughts & ideas whilst I am driving. This feature could be really handy, but I’m concerned what access AI requires for it to function and how secure it is.
