Do you think Nothing will make a tracker device?. It could be quite unique with built in glyphs.

What do you mean with “tracking device”? An Apple Tag like find my xxx device, of a full fledged standalone GPS tracker?

In the first case, plenty options out there, and besides a bit of design Nothing can’t really bring much to that market. Glyphs might be useful in some edge cases, but overall I see tags mostly hidden away or in pockets, so you’ll never see them.

Android devices doesnt have a good tracker.

For it to have good features, it need to have a powerful enough chip. also needs gps, ulta-wideband for precise location, utilize the google find network. An NFC and lost mode. A replaceable and rechargeable battery would be great. An IP rating of at least IP67 (better durability). It could use a loud speaker in case it gets lost. also a privacy features and anti-stalking alert yet needs a multi device tracker (family sharing perhaps). Where the app can locate it.

I think the design needs to be a bit transparent yet not too transparent to see the chip. Yet a white or black with a durable glastic cover and a red dot.

The glyph matrix should have a feature in locating it.

I understand, but glyphs would work well on a tracking. Specially trying to find something in the dark.

pixcel25 it makes perfect sense when u cant locate it and is sometimes our sense cant identify where the sound is coming from. So we need the glyph to see where it is..

Also, it needs to be rechargeable or has a replaceable battery..

I had a tile and a generic find hub compatible wallet card sized tracker in my wallet when I lost it for a week. Find hub said it was in Toowoomba and the Tile said “sunshine coast” neither could figure out it was wedged under the passenger seat in the seat rails approx 10 metres from where my house is… there isn’t a single good android tile and I’ve been using an iPhone XR as a “tracker hub” for airtags since. Nothing trackers are not just a want I would say they are an international need

AlexiEbaj ,nice opinion , but i would like to disagree simply because you can track your tracker if lost plus use the speaker . if glyphs exist on a tracker the battery will take a huge hit either that or battery size should increase thus making the tracker larger in size which will cause inconvenience,but hey glyphs wiill definitely look cool am I right?

pixcel25 Assuming you only use the glyph when you need to find the tag (and you don’t loose your stuff all the time) the impact on the battery-life will be minimal. But then again, there probably is a reason current tags don’t have led’s on them 🙂
