I recently purchased the Nothing Phone 3a and have noticed that the battery drains very quickly during WhatsApp video calls. Even with a full charge, the battery percentage drops significantly within a short period. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Are there any settings or optimizations that could help reduce battery consumption during video calls? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

This is the first time I trusted a brand like Nothing. However, the battery drain issue and the poor response from customer support have been very disappointing. In the future, I won’t recommend this phone to anyone, nor will I buy from Nothing again. As the name suggests, there’s literally NOTHING good in this phone.

So I’ve been using my nothing 3a phone (indian variant)

And I’m facing major battery drain issues, in ¾ hours 10% drops in idle mode while i was not using anything , it seems like nothing os still not properly optimized for 3a .

Anyone facing the same issues?

I purchased the phone on 30th April 2025, Not even a complete month , but i am facing a slightly battery drain issue and heating issue. At night even turned off mobile data i am facing 7-9% of battery percentage decrease without even touched the phone. I am using the phone 5-6 hours a day. So plz work on it.

I bought the Nothing Phone with high expectations, but now I feel dumb for buying it. I’m not going to consider buying it again or recommending it to anyone.

The Nothing Phone 3a drains battery so fast and overheats , That I need to carry a Powerbank with me during Traveling. It’s surprising for me , given the fact that this is a Brand new phone which has a 5000mAh battery.

Very disappointed, i compromised performance just for getting a stable phone but still nothing 3a perform like shit they’re just creating hype nothing else.

I think Samsung a56 much better option and I’m regretting about my purchase.

The battery on my Nothing Phone 3a Pro is draining way too fast. I’ve had to turn off both the Always-On Display (AOD) and the Glyph lights—which are supposed to be standout features of the phone and Nothing OS. Honestly, I’m not sure what the team is doing. I expected better from the company.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

@Carl I really appreciate the work you’re doing in smartphone tech, but the battery drain issue we’re currently facing is quite severe. I truly don’t want my first Nothing phone to be my last. I hope you understand our concerns, as you’re the only CEO I genuinely look up to. I hope you’ll look into this issue as well.
