I recently purchased the Nothing Phone 3a and have noticed that the battery drains very quickly during WhatsApp video calls. Even with a full charge, the battery percentage drops significantly within a short period. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Are there any settings or optimizations that could help reduce battery consumption during video calls? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

My nothing 3a is facing battery backup issue. We are charged e times phone daily basis and not supported ambarne power Bank.

Hi everyone 👋

I’m using a Nothing Phone (3a) and facing a battery performance issue. After a full charge, I’m getting only around 4 to 5.5 hours of screen-on time, which feels quite low with normal usage.

My phone is still under warranty, and I have the original box. However, I don’t have the purchase invoice. The device was bought from an offline retail store in Kuwait.

I wanted to ask:

Can the battery be checked or replaced under warranty using IMEI?

Is the invoice strictly required, or will the IMEI + box be sufficient?

Has anyone faced a similar battery issue and got it resolved under warranty?

Any guidance or experience would really helpful…

Bezalsanoj as much as i know only IMEI number is needed for warranty… they can check phone activation date by IMEI number…

And yes battery can be replaced in warranty… but i suggest you to call them first and confirm about battery and warranty thing…

I am facing unusually fast battery drain on my Nothing Phone 3a Pro. Around 3–4% battery drops within 5 minutes of camera usage. The battery also drains quickly while using other applications.

Please suggest a solution.

Usually i got 6-7 hours SoT on my Phone 3a Pro. And with gaming usage ? i could get around 5+ hours SoT. Maybe you should check your battery status and find which apps consuming the most of your batteries.

This stable version on np3a . Its time to fast draining battery . I charge two time in a day because of this stable version. Kindly resolve as soon as possible

So the case is like i put my phone on charge and playing songs on jio savan and it is between 20 - 30% and suddenly it restart and showing battery of 75% i thought it’s glitch so i checked on battery usage so it is showing normal then i restart it 2 times then after i played one song charge drop to 70% from 75% and now its 67% just after few minutes is this glitch or battery problem

NishantSingh_X9Ga0JYLkj try battery calibration… charge your phone to 100% and keep it plugged for another 15-20 minutes…

And if that doesn’t make it better you can also discharge your phone to 0% and then charge it to 100% without using it… and keep it plugged in for 15-20 minutes more

I’m convinced that NOTHING’s battery measurement method is completely flawed because it doesn’t take into account other factors that affect battery drain. Just look at my battery stats (Nothing Phone 2) ☝: at first glance it looks like it dropped to 68% after only 47 minutes, which would suggest terrible battery life.

In reality, besides those 47 minutes of SOT, my NP2 was also used as a hotspot for over 3 hours, sharing a 5G connection with my laptop during a train trip. That changes the picture completely and shows that the battery life is actually quite good, especially considering the phone is over 2 years old. Even today I still manage to get through a full day without recharging, despite the system reporting only 2–3 hours of SOT.

Yhup - same here with 3(a) - I wish I could go back on updates… its been really bad. Not coming back to nothing after this - the software is good, but they ruined the battery and now the headphones (1) . Damn
