Hello fellow community members!

I wanted to share how much I’ve been loving the Essential Notifications feature on my Nothing Phone. I’ve added all my family members as essential contacts, so when I’m at work, I only pick up my phone if the Essential Glyph lights up. It’s been a game-changer for filtering out distractions and staying focused.

Another feature I find super handy is the Custom Contacts on the Glyph interface. I’ve individually added my family members, and set a specific ringtone for all of them. That way, when they call, I get a distinct notification and know right away if it’s important—without even needing to check the screen!

Now, here’s something I’m curious about:

Does this custom contact functionality extend to WhatsApp calls?

For example, if my family member calls me on WhatsApp, can I assign a unique ringtone or Glyph light, similar to regular calls? If not, I think it would be an amazing extension to the already useful custom ringtone features.

One more suggestion I have is about managing Custom Contacts more easily. Right now, we can only add contacts one by one and assign ringtones individually. I think it would be great if we could create groups, like “Family” or “Close Friends,” and then apply the same Glyph ringtone or notification settings to the entire group. This would make customization faster and even more useful!

Would love to hear your thoughts on my suggestions, and if anyone knows a way to make WhatsApp calls work with Custom Contacts, I’d really appreciate the info!

Thank you!
