Form 1 months I’m facing some fade colour and unwanted green tint issue on my nothing phone 2a. This is mostly visible on low brightness and app unlocking interface. It shows bad experience on everything.. please help on this topic Nothing.

This is a serious issue… fix this as soon as possible.

@Rob ⚡️ Recently, I used an Android emulator from the Play Store called VPhoneOS on my Nothing Phone 2a and tested YouTube playback on two Android versions: Android 7 (emulated) and my current Android 15 device. I played a clip from Robert Pattinson’s The Batman and noticed some clear differences.

As you can see, both platforms performed very differently…

The playback on Android 7 (emulated) was through the web app version, as the android version doesn’t support the current YouTube app. Meanwhile, Android 15 used the app version. Visually, both performances were quite different. Android 15 exhibited noticeable black crush, which led to a loss in shadow detail and color accuracy. On the other hand, the Android 7 playback, although slightly pixelated, offered a better overall viewing experience in terms of color and visibility

I ensured both videos were set to the maximum resolution of 1080p, yet the difference remained.

There was an option for enabling V-Sync which minimized screen tearing, but although I turned it on/off, the quality remained the same on the android 7

I bought Nothing phone 2a plus in January 2025 actually I compared with vivo v40 phone nothing phone 2a plus display colour is dim and not vibrant so I have doubt this problem facing me only or amyother and pls give someone solution 🙏

My phone just got water damaged and it isnt working well the motherboard died so i had to purchase a new phone

But nothing did not solve this issue i had a complaint when i was using the phone

Nothing 2a is not waterproof so keep it away from pools and all

I am currently using a phone 2a and the screen bleeding issue till now has not been solved . It gets pretty annoying to use the phone , whenever I apply dark wallpapers and anything that is remotely dark or even a high contrast colour I can immediately see the colours bleeding. Is this a software or hardware issue? If it is a hardware issue then will there be any warranty for replacement?

In 2a plus with the April patch it’s fixed by a good margin so let’s see if they apply the changes in 2a too with this month’s update.

See overall I am happy with the product but only one area I feel like very bad is the display, it has green tint issue, while watching movie or something it hampers the overall experience, and in notification bar in black part of screen this issue is persistent,I am very sad with that part experience multimedia . I think the problem lie in hardware optimization as I have seen lot of people experience this issue.

Nothing has not made any official announcement about it as major devices have green tint issue not just 2a plus but 2a also

Please nothing I appreciate your work your concept but it is a serious issue please solve it

As display is the most important aspect of the phone it seriously don’t look good while watching a video.

One more major complaint I have with nothing that even though 2a plus is greater or successor version of 2a but frequency of update is less in 2a plus as compared to 2a and no major improvement updates have been received, regarding camera and display

See I know you have not promised about frequency of updates but the lower model 2a is getting those updates and it also not about quantity but about quality of the update the last update I received the only feature which was there is security patch and power lock rest all features were already present from previous update so nothing major about it

Aj47 bro this display issue can’t be fixed because it’s almost a year people are complaining about it and nothing has addressed it in on of their video but no action or improvements has been done

Recently I visited service centre they said company is working backend to solve it via software update but he is saying the same words since 5 months

Previously exactly same issues were there in many phones like pixel 6a, rog 3,mi 11x but these companies have fixed it upto 90% by software update except asus
