Hi Nothing team and community,
I recently updated my device to Nothing OS 3.2. According to the update notes, there is supposed to be an option to reset the Private Space password using the main device password.
However, when I try to reset it, it still asks for the original Private Space password. I am sure that I am entering the correct password — I have used it before and also used to access Private Space with my fingerprint, which is now disabled.
Now, even though I enter the correct password, the system says it is incorrect. I have double-checked and I’m confident I am typing it correctly.
At this point, I’m completely locked out of Private Space and I can’t do anything anymore. The space is fully blocked, and the only option currently available is to reset it and lose all my data, which I really don’t want to do.
I would like to ask:
Is there currently any way to recover access without losing data?
In future updates, could you please consider adding options to recover Private Space using the main device password, Google account, or fingerprint authentication — without wiping the contents?
I really hope this feature can be added. I strongly believe that Nothing, with its creativity and innovation in hardware design, can bring the same level of creativity and user-friendly solutions to its software as well.
Thank you so much for your support and for listening to feedback!🙃
