I’ve been experiencing a charging issue with my Nothing Phone 2. When I use the original Nothing charging cable, my phone doesn’t charge at all. Initially, I thought the cable might be faulty, but it works perfectly fine with other phones. Then I suspected the charging port on my phone, but when I used a different (non-Nothing) cable, the phone charged without any issues. This clearly points to a problem between the original cable and the phone itself.
What’s more frustrating is that when I use third-party cables, I get a warning saying:
“For an efficient charging experience, we recommend using Nothing original chargers and cables.”
This feels very harsh from Nothing’s side. Spending around ₹35,000 on a phone and not getting a charger in the box is already disappointing. And now, facing this issue in less than a year of use only adds to the frustration.
At this point, I’m genuinely confused — should I spend money on buying a new original Nothing cable (with the risk of facing the same issue again), or should I just continue using a third-party cable that actually charges the phone but shows warnings?
