Spotify Not Working Properly with DAC on Nothing Phone 3a

Bro. I guess nothing is having a tough time with Spotify. Now the loudspeakers sometimes go blank and then sound reappears. IDK the hell is happening or happened.

IceIsCold I’m using the Nothing Phone (3a), and overall it’s working fine. Since it doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack, I’m using an Audiocular DAC for wired audio.

Everything works well with YouTube, YouTube Music, and Apple Music—but I’m facing a strange issue with Spotify. When listening to any song via the DAC, it plays normally for a bit, then the audio suddenly cuts out and is replaced by a loud buzzing noise. Spotify still shows the song as playing, but there’s no actual music—just the buzz.

This happens almost every time I use Spotify with the DAC. I’ve tried everything: updating the phone, reinstalling and updating Spotify, clearing cache, etc. No luck.

Anyone else facing this issue or know a fix?

I’m having the same issue with Spotify on the Nothing Phone 3a using a DAC, so it’s not just you. , it seems like a software/firmware bug with how the phone handles Spotify audio. Since YouTube and Apple Music work fine for me so i use this

I am using Basesailor Type C to 3.5 mm covertor and it’s working perfectly with Nothing 3a.Allow background usage in Spotify for continuous listening when screen turns off.

I believe turning off Settings>Battery>SleepStandbyOptimisation has the same effect, while not disabling other energy settings like freezing the whole service does.

Works the same for me at least, mostly no Problems apart from the occasional fail when unlocking after listening with locked screen for a long time.

Guys did anyone try out Dac after the 4.0 Update. Is the situation any better? or is it the same

debanath yo. Its better now. I’ve tested from open beta 1 to general release. No issue found with audio (so far)
