After upgrade to nothing os 2.5.5 seems phone getting heated up when using any apps. It’s very frequently getting heated up.

Hi to everyone,

After two updates the phone started heating.

Can you please help me understand what am I to do to try and solve this, it is frustrating because I tried switching off a lot of the functions wi-fi, data, switching 5g to 4g+ exclusive a.s.a.s.on.

While I was working, I left my phone charging and continued with my tasks. After some time, when I picked it up, I noticed it was extremely hot. I tried checking if the LED lights were functioning, but the charge indicator light had stopped working. Strangely, there’s also steam or condensation inside the phone, and the area with Nothing branding is getting especially hot. Also the fingerprint sensor stopped working This issue came out of nowhere. Can you help me understand what might have caused this and how I can fix it

Hi there,

I’m facing heating issues while watching videos, especially the top portion of the screen and device taking its sweet time to unlock both on double tap and clicking on the unlock button. I happened to go through a few registered complaints here and just wondering whether anyone has figured out the actual reason and remedy for the same. It’s super annoying (no need to say) . If nothing tech team can push a software update to resolve this ASAP, nothing like it.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using the Nothing Phone (1) for a while now, and recently I’ve been facing serious overheating issues. Even basic tasks like:

Scrolling Instagram for just 10 minutes

Using the camera briefly

A 10-minute phone call

…cause the device to heat up noticeably, to the point that it’s uncomfortable to hold sometimes.

I’ve tried the usual:

Keeping brightness low

Closing background apps

No gaming or heavy apps running

But the issue still persists.

My device is running [ Nothing OS 3.0]

Battery health seems okay, no unusual drain

Is anyone else facing this issue? Could this be a software bug or should I get the hardware checked?

Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated!
