They are definitely worth it for around 50 bucks!
I have used the Nothing Ear (a) and the Nothing Ear (open) and I actually prefer the CMF buds. They fit my ears the best, I love their minimalistic look and especially the case! I just wish they had the advanced EQ options in the app that the Ear and Ear (open) have. The CMF buds are tuned quite bass heavy so they need a bit of customization to make them sound more balanced. But then they sound amazing! The “spatial audio” mode also sounds much better than I expected; I currently leave it on all the time.
I also surprisingly like the touch controls. They always recognize my input (i.e. double toch, hold, double touch + hold, and so on) and with the smart dial there is a second way to control them.
