I also have network issues on 5G and Wifi, both in good / very good reception conditions.
I still have Active Noise Cancelling issues, (Teams Whatsapp Telegram Signal AND normal phone calls)
The tech support scares me : i just received a detailed sum up of what i wrote with suggestions that could drive the most zen person in the world totally nuts. Example : when pointing out that most Android system have an option in sound settings to enable/disable ANC, but not in Nothing’s OS, technical support suggest that i go check for sound settings to disable ANC (I MEAN SERIOUSLY ????)
I found the writing style is very strange and i am now â…˜ sure that technical support is AI powered. (I ve been in IT tech support since 1995, there are different ways to help people, it s a demanding job and sometimes you can be very tired and miss a point. But THIS email I just received is just OMG level)
I’m not talking of the screen that turns back on when on comm with Signal, even after repeatedly switching off the screen with power off button, screen that wont turn back on then when needed, or going to turn off when asked to stay on etc.
Overall, then Nothing 3A is a very good pocket computer. But using it for communication ? nah. wrong product.
ANC issue : talking with a low voice / trying to share environment sounds like birds singing or music to the person i m calling / regular ‘are you still here’ when i’m speaking. Positive point : works very well under very heavy wind condition. Negative point : works very bad in any other condition.
So unless you re a storm chaser, this phone, as of today, is not for you.
