Anwin Only till 2026 mate. Once the device reaches its end of software life ( 4 years for Phone (1)), it stops recivieing updates. Be it minor bug fixes, security patches or any major updates.

I wonder if @Carl is ever reading these comments about this phone’s camera and battery. But then, tagging him gets people blocked (someone struck down my post last year), mods do it all the time. I wonder why I bought this phone.

Wolverine Nothing Phone 1 was released 3 yrs ago. Now my battery health is 87%. Maybe that’s why.

You might have to check your battery health.

valid point, battery can take a hit. my gripe is about the horrible camera quality, and it has been numerous comments that I have posted here but nobody comes down from their high horse. I paid a good amount of money like others and the phone is not living up to the standards for more than a year.

Wolverine I agree with you—the battery decline is inevitable. But the lack of software support and the camera’s performance degradation led me to put the Nothing Phone (1) back in its box after three years of loyal service. I’m not complaining—it was a great phone that broke the mold and the monotony with its unique design and clean, essential OS. Still, we have to be honest now and admit that it’s no longer living up to our expectations.

Wolverine yes sir., same here., worst camera app in nothing phone 1. Unable to preview the image in camera app. Unable to scan QR codes from 5 feet away while doing UPI payments holding 30,000rs nothing phone 1.

Battery is sh*t as always , camera performance is also sh*t as after os 2.5 they ruined both of these till os 2.0.5 it was best

I am done with nothing and nothing os that’s why flashed custom rom on my phone 1
