I just got a screen replacement on my Phone (1) and all seemed good till I had to charge it in the car. [Edit: I wanted to add that I got this done at the Nothing authorised service center in Indiranagar, Bangalore]
The first sign of trouble was that Android Auto (Wired) refused to work, although the phone was slowly charging. I then noticed that the number of battery cycles was reset to 0, even though I’ve had the phone for over two years and did not get a battery replacement.
Once I got home, I tried plugging in the phone to charge to 100% on my Nothing 45W charger and cable but it wasn’t charging. I tried clearing any debris from the charging port, restarted the phone and then tried it out with an Apple 30W charger and Anker cable. None of these were charging the phone and I’ve got no clue why since it was working with all these chargers until this morning before I went to get my screen replaced.
I’m now trying to slow charge the phone to 100% using an old OnePlus charger I found lying around and it seems to be working, although painfully slowly.
Has anyone had this experience? I will go back to the service center on Monday if it doesn’t start working by then, but ideally I’d like to see if this is just a software setting I need to change.
Thanks!
