Please every community members want to discuss this topic seriously. This discussion is not to hate nothing company. We all want to provide a better answer to company as a customer side. Because I like this company and the product release by them. This event is horrible than last apple event.

In fact I was waiting for the launch for the past 2 months, but I’m very disappointed to see an 8s gen4 chipset priced at 90k, where almost every other company offers the same chipset and similar features at 40-50k. The pricing should’ve atleast placed at 60-65k for the 512GB varient, considering other companies offer same features at 77k - 6000 mah battery, 50MP triple lenses, ufs 4.0 etc., that too with an 8 elite chipset.

Pretty disappointed and frustrated tbh. In fact I would go for it if it had an 8 elite chipset - but buying a gen 4 at 90k? Nah. I’ll pass

True and the specs they are giving to price is not even matchable the processor they used is coming in the phones under 40 k in Indian market and the price they kept is almost double, i think they just want the brand to be placed in the premium segmet so they just increased the price so high and Im 100 sure the phone 3 sales will be underwhelming this time

It is a little on the high side for that processor. Feels like we are leaning into paying for brand and design more than specs. Can get a used S24 Ultra or in South Africa a 6 month old S25 Ultra for the same money. That is a little push. Let’s see. I love Nothing so I will pay.

This is a serious discussion, not hate actually!! We expected innovation, not confusion. Phone 3 feels rushed, overpriced, and stripped of the identity that made Nothing unique. The glyph matrix isn’t an upgrade, it’s a downgrade masked as change.

You’re complaining about the price in India but in Portugal it will be even more expensive!
Base model at 849€ (inr 85640 approximately) and 16/512 at 949€ (inr 95720 approximately).
Portugal has some of the lowest salaries in Europe but has the most expensive tech. It’s ridiculous!

This phone is a joke. You’re paying 8 elite prices for ugly design. The poco f7 costs 30k having the same chipset albeit crappy cameras, 20k more for a decent camera setup and we’re looking at a cost of 50k. Add another 7k to equivalise prices for components for xiaomi’s economies of scale and we’re looking at a phone that shouldn’t cost more than 59k and even that is pushing it.

KamiKaze the POCO F7 is utter trash. It has a terrible overheating problem that causes thermal throttling and bad performance (reaching 52°C while gaming), cameras are crap, sound is terrible on the speakers and like most POCO phones has very low power output on Bluetooth and USB-C, HyperOS has 27 bloatware apps installed as standard and full screen ads on Xiaomi apps, etc. I was a Xiaomi/Redmi/POCO fan for 6/7 years but now I wouldn’t want one for free. It’s not only the price of the parts we should think about. Nothing has so much better software and the community is not censored like Xiaomi does. You can’t say anything in Xiaomi or POCO communities that remotely suggests their work should be better. They delete many comments, moderators are subject to typical Chinese censorship and don’t have any freedom to learn from user feedback and pass it up to developers or management.
Nothing isn’t perfect but at least they’re open to improvements.

mafcarvalho I specifically pointed out that the cameras are trash add 20k to that price tag for fixing it and that’s what this phone should cost in the worst case scenario not to mention the cameras on this are merely a sidegrade compared to the phone 3a pro

KamiKaze you can’t do the math like that because Xiaomi gets components and labour much cheaper than Nothing due to economy of scale. If things were that simple, I’m sure that the NP 3 would be much cheaper, specially considering it’s made in India.
I think that it is too expensive but before complete reviews and teardown videos are available I’m avoiding oversimplified judgements.
POCO F7 is a weak product overall. I wish that the problems were just the cameras…

mafcarvalho I literally added 7k to the price to compensate for that lmao. Like I said 30+ 20 for camera another 7 on top of that because bulk discounts on xiaomi and it’s subsidiaries. Add another 2k to that if you think the cooling solution on the f7 is too plebian for your taste. If we’re talking about BOM costs on phone 3 I’m guaranteeing that it’s below 33k imo that’s a gross margin of 3x over the selling price. None of this is factoring in that this uses a cheaper display than phone 2 or that the camera setup is probably cheaper than 3a pro if it weren’t for the fact that they said they used a hole punched pcb for the stupid camera layout which would increase prices a bit.

Was excited to see the launch of Nothing Phone 3 — the design looks 🔥 and the features are solid too… but I honestly expected a bit better pricing for the Indian market.

Like seriously, feels a little steep considering the competition here. I was really hoping Nothing would hit that sweet spot again like they did with Phone (1).

Not saying it’s overpriced for what it offers — just feels like the pricing could’ve been a little more India-friendly, especially for fans who’ve been following Nothing since the start 😅

What do you guys think?
Is the Phone 3 worth the tag? Or should Nothing have gone a bit easier on the price here? Would love to know your take!

NP1 user here. Waited to get NP3, was excited by the true flagship announcement. The design didn’t bug me as much as others because matrix display is actually quite fun + I love the essential space feature.

But 80 freaking thousand INR?? That’s just the easiest way to tell NP1, NP2 users in India that this isn’t for you. I know the company has high ambitions to compete with the best, but what stood out for Nothing in India was VALUE. NP1 and NP2 were not just unique but gave much more value than Samsung and Apple. NP3 is unique still, sure, but in terms of value, I don’t think any review can make me fall in love with it enough to spend 80k, or perhaps even 60k after offers.

And that hurts. Don’t want the pro and a versions, don’t want Apple, Samsung, and the Chinese brands because “NOTHING WAS IT” and now it’s just utter disappointment. Could have at least priced it at US market value, 65 and 75k. So much so for Made in India, eh?
