I had high expectations for this phone, partly because Nothing themselves had announced that they needed more time to create a truly powerful flagship model, and because they had teased that it would be loaded with AI. Nothing has previously hinted at creating a pure AI phone with their own custom AI assistant and AI widgets that communicate with each other in real time.
What we got was an uninspired design that doesn’t feel like nothing at all, more filler in the Essential space, and a dot matrix glyph that lets you entertain yourself with pointless games. I mean, come on.. is this what we were waiting extra for? It doesn’t feel like a big leap towards a true AI phone.
No, unfortunately, I love you Nothing, but I can’t help but be deeply disappointed with your Phone (3). I hope you bounce back next year, because this is damaging to your cool brand/reputation, which stands for innovation and cool creative solutions.
The Phone (3a) Pro is the model you actually succeeded with. Please, go back and do it right. Thanks.
