SamRichardson_zWENqJM4cy easily said for a person without children! even with the TPU case from NOTHING, which is quite good I seem to have accumulated plaster dust inside my NP3 and scratches on the front screen protector.
My phones usually end up broken (hardware failures by 4 years if a major brand and 2 years when a no-name phone). significant travel wears them down (cycling 8 km RT per day to work, walking another 10 km per day … both in backpack jingling around … clamping into a rowing machine for 60 mins per day … kids use it around 60 mins per day … in cars/in luggage/etc…). We also have about 8 MacBooks (Pro/Air/etc…) in the house and they get worn out the same way. It’s probably just the urban English lifestyle.
