Hi Lakshman,
Thank you for contacting Nothing India Support. We’re here to assist you with the issues you’re experiencing with your Nothing Phone (3).
Kindly follow the troubleshooting steps given below:
1. Check for Physical Obstructions:
Inspect the Glyph Toys Capacity button for any dirt, debris, or obstruction that may be preventing it from functioning correctly. Clean around the button gently with a dry microfiber cloth to ensure no particles are blocking its function.
2. Restart the Phone:
Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Ask the customer to restart the Nothing Phone 3 to see if that resolves the issue with the button.
3. Test Button with Another App:
Test the button’s functionality in different apps that support the Glyph Toys Capacity button to see if the issue is app-specific or system-wide.
4. Check for Software Updates:
It’s important to keep the phone’s software up-to-date to avoid any bugs that might be affecting hardware features like the button.
Go to Settings > Software Update, and ensure the phone is running the latest version of the operating system. If an update is available, ask the customer to install it and check if the issue persists.
5. Clear Cache and Data for the Affected App:
If the issue seems to be with a specific app (like a Glyph Toys app), clearing the cache and data for that app might help.
Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Glyph Toys App > Storage > Clear Cache.
If that doesn’t help, try Clear Data, but keep in mind that this may log the customer out and reset any settings within the app.
6. Test the Button in Safe Mode:
Boot the phone into Safe Mode to rule out the possibility of third-party apps causing the issue.
To enter Safe Mode, press and hold the Power button until the power off options appear.
Tap and hold Power off until Reboot to Safe Mode appears.
Once in Safe Mode, test the Glyph Toys Capacity button again to see if it works. If it does, a third-party app might be causing interference.
Restart the phone normally to exit Safe Mode.
7. Check Button Settings (If Applicable):
If the Glyph Toys Capacity button has any customizable settings in the Nothing Phone 3’s Settings or through a companion app, make sure those settings are configured correctly.
Check for any Gestures or Touch Input Settings that might affect the button’s function.
8. Reset the Phone (Last Resort):
If the issue persists and all other troubleshooting steps fail, the customer may need to perform a factory reset. Be sure to back up important data first as this will erase all content on the device.
Go to Settings > System > Reset Options > Erase All Data (Factory Reset).
After the reset, test the button again to see if it works.
If the issue is still not resolved by performing above troubleshooting steps kindly visit the nearest service center so the technician can diagnose your device and assist you with proper resolution.
