So far, I hate it too. I get what they were going for and the Essential search thing might be helpful to many. But search at the top looked more cleaner (imo) and as someone who will not use the essential search, the new location feels out of place. IT also messes with me as my finger automatically move towards the old location. Maybe that is something that won’t bother many, but for some users, it is inconvenient. Moreover, they changed how the menu looks altogether. I’m not saying "don’t bring changes’, just give the users some play room to work with, be it changing the font back to the dotted font, or the search bar location. P.S Launchers are a thing, I am aware. But that is also resource heavy and battery heavy. So I don’t prefer using them.
