FINAL UPDATE: THEY FIXED IT š šš„
I believe that the Essential Recording feature on the Phone (3) may be one of itās most impressive, and the waveform on the Glyph Matrix really adds to it. And itās the facedown visual feedback that makes it so much cooler than just running Otter on your phone.
However the one element thatās missing for me is big enough that I have to pull out my plaud.ai pin anyway: TRANSCRIPTS.
As it stands now, I can export a summary of a meeting which is useful for sure (especially due to the ānotable momentsā button). However, generally I need a transcript of the whole thing. There are a few reasons for this:
- It acts as a permanent reference of all that was discussed.
- I can throw it into an LLM and get specific outputs based on what my company needs
- I can interrogate it to learn where I could have done better. Did I miss any buying cues etc.
Nothing must have the text transcribed in order to create a summary. I canāt for the life of me understand why they wouldnāt let me export it.

UPDATE: I realise that you can export the full audio and then use ChatGPT or similar tools to transcribe it. So you do have the option to transcribe it.
