I recently bought a Nothing Phone (2), and noticed serious problems with audio playback in poweramp player via USB-C DAC and Bluetooth. Using my Moondrop May IEMs with a built-in DAC (that supports 48-384kHz 16bit/Float input), or any other DAC, the phone only outputs audio in 16-bit/48 kHz or 32-bit/384 kHz and has kinda broken volume control, especially when using direct volume control feature. (sound starts only from 20%+ volume). I cannot use 24-bit/48 kHz or any other non 16/48 and 32/384 output, which worked perfectly on my previous phone Redmi Note 10 Pro with the same Poweramp music player app and settings. Changing Direct Volume Control (DVC) setting in poweramp and turning off Dirac effects in phone settings do not fix the issue, so the problem seems to be somewhere in the system audio pipeline. I heard that on Nothing Phone 2a a similar issue could be fixed with adb, using “adb shell pm disable-user –user 0 com.dirac.acs” command, but this command does not work on the Nothing Phone (2). Can anyone help me with this problem?
