As a token of appreciation, we would like to invite you to experience the first Closed Beta build of Nothing OS 4.0 powered by Android 16. In this build, we're focused on delivering Android 16's native features as well as implementing a more robust design system which will set the foundation for a more cohesive UI moving forward. As with any Beta software, there will be bugs and issues to be rooted out, and we hope that with your participation, we are able to catch 'em all before an Open beta release in September. I highly doubt Nothing os 4.0 will come with Material 3 Expressive or those animations now, I will keep the expectations low 😥.

Rob ⚡️ Can we hope Glass like design and more customization in NOS 4.0? I think glass design is more suitable with NOS which has less text and more shapes than iOS.

I pre-ordered Phone 3 which officially launched in NZ yesterday (04 Aug 2025) but the retailer I got it from ran out of stock in my area. I missed the cutoff for beta testing due to not having my phone in time but this is no fault from Nothing and I can’t wait to get my hands on this phone and join in a future software release.
