Appreciation Post for the Phone 3 free case.

For real, this is by far the best kind of Jelly case or Silicone case I experienced when it comes to free ones.

Problem, for me, is the extra static that attracts dust. I thought I fixed it by washing the case in a light detergent and this worked for a few days, but the static has returned.

Otherwise, yes it’s a good cover.

I just received the Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear case for the Phone 3 and while it wasn’t free, it is an awesome upgrade to the stock case. I had a problem where the stock case felt kind of slick (probably from the oil from my hands) and the Spigen has better grip. It is a VERY well done case with absolutely precise cut outs and a major difference being that it covers the Glyph Matrix to protect it. Nothing wrong with the stock case, I was THRILLED it was included with the phone but the Spigen is awesome as well for those who like options.

How is the thickness of the bumps up front and the back camera?

What are the odds that the stock cases are manufactured by Spigen?

mejias_wnstn You can find the Spigen case also on Amazon, but it depends on your country.

Cases like these are made by all kind of manufacturers, maybe it’s built by Spigen, but it’s also quite possible it’s being built by a different company.

Personally I never use cases on my phones, or rather very rarely use cases on my phones, yet I still enjoy Nothing decided to include one: Every new NP3 owner gets good protection literally right out of the box, thanks the bundled case and pre-applied protector, no need to worry about purchasing a dedicated case right away. Even if one doesn’t like the case, it at least offers initial peotection.

Yes I agree, the case included is just amazing and perfect looking. Thank you so much to the team for adding one.

Maybe they can have make the choice to cover the Matrix as the case is transparent enough and that would have added some protection.

I’d already bought the Spigen ready for when my NP3 arrived and put it on straight away - that was a week ago. I noticed the lip of the Spigen around the front of the case seemed a little bigger/chunkier than the Spigen I was using on my NP2.

This morning I’ve actually tried the Nothing case that came with my NP3 and I think I prefer it. It’s probably not as protective but still some protection and the phone feels not as chunky. I’ll see how I feel over the next few days. A lovely touch that Nothing supplied the case in the box (and pre-applied screen protector).

I’ve been rolling with the supplied case since early JUL and have no issues and no plans to change it. My Xioami supplied case on my last phone made it four years, before my children broke the PCB.

CMF1_hacker mine is starting yellowing 😭, but as i have bought a second NP3 for the house i have put the second provided case aside for me and put the spigen on the second one which is not for me 😎. I would love Nothing offer the possibility to buy them separately. I don’t really like the spigen, too bulky Plastic.

Stereobasic interesting about the yellowing. perhaps you get more UV light that cloudy England. or there’s some additional chemical detritus on your hands.

is this like the yellowing you’re seeing? I can see a very slight difference between the lower back and the upper back where the cameras are. thus, I believe that it’s due to detritus from the user’s hands.

CMF1_hacker i’m a landscaper gardener teacher, so i’m outside all day.

Didn’t notice the yellowing at first at all, but when opened the new NP3 and put them side by side, it was a big difference 😅 And then i noticed the yellowing…

HarrisonCole Spigen’s glyph button cut is too big and wide ruining that part of design. And the border of the 2 mains camera are too thick making the visual coarser. But that’s my taste.

The default case doesn’t like oily hands and I have yet to find any case that is thinner than it

A good paid alternative is the Spigen Transparent Case, it’s an improvement over the stock case that comes with the phone, definitely recommend. 🙌🏻
