Sayan_Dutta Nothing certainly has an interesting list of partners for the upcoming phone (1). We know about BYD, Google, Qualcomm, Sony, Samsung and Visionox so far.
BYD specializes in EVs and battery packs. They will most likely help to bring the latest battery tech into the phone (1). Battery life shouldn’t be a problem.
I think there’s nothing special to say about Google and Qualcomm, as they will most likely just provide the hard- and software for the device. Google could lend additional help for developing nothing’s own version of its OS, but that should be it really.
As for Sony - definitely camera tech. Sony is leading in this department and it’s good to see them in the phone (1) too.
And now comes the interesting part: Visionox and Samsung. Both of them are known for their amazing panels. While Samsung is leading the premium OLED market, Visionox has developed some of the most unique displays out there, like displays for foldables, as well as curving and thin OLEDs. Nothing could definitely get some amazing panels while potentially paying less for production by going with Visionox, but then why is Samsung one of their partners too? Could we see something like a multi-display device with let’s say a notch-less display by Visionox on the front, and a regular Samsung panel on the backside? And if so, why are they not just using Visionox parts for the back as well? I don’t know what to expect, but I am very excited for it!
