Wi-Fi Toggle Issue Returned After Latest Update

Hello everyone – I’m experiencing a recurring Wi-Fi issue with my Nothing Phone (2) and wanted to see if others have run into the same problem. A few weeks ago, my Phone (2) suddenly couldn’t connect to any Wi-Fi: no networks would show up and the Wi-Fi toggle would just switch itself off immediately. It was essentially as if Wi-Fi was “dead.” An earlier software patch (released recently) **did** fix the problem for a short time – after applying that update, my Wi-Fi started working normally again. However, as of this Wednesday (August 20, 2025), the **exact same** Wi-Fi bug has reappeared, seemingly out of nowhere, and I’m back to square one. It’s pretty frustrating since I thought the patch had resolved it for good. ## Current Situation At the moment, my Phone (2) is once again stuck in this state where Wi-Fi cannot be enabled at all. The toggle slides to “on” for a second or two, then shuts itself off, and no available networks are displayed (not even my own router). This started on Aug 20 right after installing the latest software update (or at least around that time – I did update and then noticed the Wi-Fi issue that same day). It feels like the latest patch **either didn’t fully solve the underlying issue or possibly even re-introduced it**. Given that a software update temporarily fixed it before, I’m inclined to think this is a software bug rather than a hardware failure. My Phone (2) has been great otherwise, and I haven’t dropped it or anything – so I doubt it’s a hardware antenna issue. It’s really puzzling and frustrating to have Wi-Fi break, get fixed, and then break again. Right now I’m having to rely on mobile data for everything at home, which is far from ideal.

I may have found another solution. This solution requires the use of adb, and all you have to do is use this command.

adb shell svc wifi enable

Anyone having issue where your wifi button just wont respond and turn on try this.

Edit: If it doesn’t work, try uninstalling Google Wi-Fi Provisioner in the play store before using the command.

Tried this but didn’t work for me. Command works but when I checked the status, still showed WiFi disabled.
