Is there a Chance that Nothing make’s New Phone’s with the Size of the 2a Plus?

I think the new Phone’s from Nothing are to big for me🙈

But they are basically the same, and the Phone (3) is even smaller (although 0.5 mm thicker) 🤔

Yes the lenght is smaller but it feels very heavy and thick to handle it with one Hand😅

Kafakbrut Ah yeah, that’s true, sharper edges for some reason. My other phone is identical in size as my (3a) but it is so comfortable to hold because of nice round edges.

I can see that. 3a looks amazing but it is for me a bit to Big. That’s why i was thinking about getting the Google Pixel 9a because of the Size, but the aesthetics are not nice

Kafakbrut I agree with that, 100%. It would be great to have all the same hardware and spec (sans cameras, those need physical room to fit in) but different display sizes, like for example (3a) to be as it is now but 6.2″, and (3a) Pro also as it is now but 6.7″. The price difference is already there so that’s not an issue.

I think this is a forgotten market for premium high-end or even mid-range phones. There is a strong positive correlation between height (and I assume hand size) and income per person. (Further extrapolation shows the ratio of animal to plant protein and total protein per kg body weight to be important.)

In essence, smaller hands (extension from lower average height) is associated to a greater extent with LMICs and a small phone isn’t as profitable.

Apple gets away with some small phones but they’re subsidised by the larger ones.

I remember when I brought my original 1+1 into work in 2014 and everyone thought it was huge and that the sandstone and bamboo rear covers wer stellar. (The GM gets the same appeal these days).

Hard to say, because not that long ago, but several millions of years ago in tech space, phones were pushing 4-7 days of usage just fine, think about Symbian phones in pre-Android era (so Nokias mainly). With smaller batteries, but also smaller display. So batteries are growing enough to follow larger and larger displays, flagship phones from 12-13 years ago used to have 3000 mAh at around 5.2″ as some average. At this rate we are heading into carrying a literal TV in our pocket in about 10 years, lol.

It certainly seems like a phenomenal value but to get its battery destroyed because of 😱😱 OmG iT’s GoNnA eXpLoDe 😱😱 as the reason to cut in half its battery life… Yeah, that’s not tempting to get in my book. Or get it but switch to GrapheneOS and you are safe from that crap.
