Although many people including myself will probably never hear the difference between lossy and lossless audio format, having the option to stream music in its original hi-res form is nice and appreciated, especially since the monthly price for Apple Music remains the same. I always welcome options.
Also, previously if you wanted to stream lossless music, you had to switch to another music streaming service like Tidal and pay a higher price tag. Now you can save some money.
