Nicouschulas I don’t really think whether something is good or bad. I assume that NOTHING had this idea since the YTers complained about heat. It seems to have taken a long time to implement and there was nothing in the update review about it.
The cynical version of me, simply states that the wanted the absolute highest benchmark score possible to the shown the 8sg4 score wasn’t that different than 8elite and were willing to take some crashes due to high temp.
Now that no one cares, it’s been rolled out.
The phone battery now stays around 10C cooler and that makes a difference on handling temps.
Another option is that NOTHING just didn’t see it as a priority when marketing the phone.
Again, I don’t feel it’s good or bad, it’s just what it is. Perhaps I look through the code to see what they’re measuring and how it’s working, just for fun. I like NOTHING and am curious how they’re working/decision-making.
