Android Auto Issues on Phone (3)

Hey all

Got a nothing phone 3 on launch day (UK)

I’ve always had android phones and never had an issue with wireless or wired android auto. But the nothing phone 3 has random disconnects/timeouts on wireless. Spotify will stutter and cut off. Seems very intermittent. Ive also noticed if hotspot is enabled (for my kids tablets in the car) then android auto is so sluggish in general.

Everything up to date on the phone , car is also up to date . Anyone had this issue or able to suggest anything to check?

Mrstonecold same for me. I also get some timeouts while connected to the car. Spotify stutters and after a while Android Auto is no longer available from the phone. Only a restart can fix it, but not for long time…

I had the same issue. Did you get any response from the Support Team or finding any workaround for it.

I can also confirm the issue is there on NP3 (India), even on NOS 4.0. I had been using CMF Phone 1 for last ⅞ months, it didn’t had any issue with the same car, only when I upgraded to NP3 this month I started facing this issue. 20% of the times when I seat in car android auto keeps connecting and disconnecting every few seconds rendering it useless. Happens both wired/wireless AA.
If that helps car is: MG Windsor EV Pro (Wuling cloud ev)

I have the exact same issue. With my Nothing Phone 3 and Toyota CHR 2024, Android Auto keeps disconnecting. At first the music starts glitching and later it disconnects. Then it connects again but the problem just repeats - music starts glitching and it disconnects again. After restarting the phone it starts working, but only for the first drive after restart. Later is starts glitching in the same way.

I had no problems up until ~2 weeks ago. It was working flawlessly previously so maybe something updated?

Still have the same problem and 'put up with it' , couldnt find any fix but it does seem to be all related to wireless android auto. As much as i do love nothing phones, im tempted to go back to my pixel just to solve this issue!

I'm a daily AA user connecting via AAWireless 2 and have hardly any issues at all except for a couple of known WiFi interference blackspots along my route causing stuttering and dropouts, so, I'm surprised to see multiple users reporting these issues. However, I'm a Deezer user for music streaming rather than Spotify. Also, at the back of mind I've a vague memory of needing to enable certain Developer Options back when I used to connect by USB… (Albeit different handset then…)
