Let’s get right into it:
🔸Brand new lockscreen clock style - Among the 2-3 good pre-existing ones, this is a good addition

🔸Pitch black dark mode - One of my major gripes since Nothing OS 1 is finally being addressed.

🔸Minimise two pop-up view apps - Just like OxygenOS, you can now minimise two apps. It’s no longer restricted to just one app.

🔸2×2 quick settings tiles - Now more apps support 2×2 size in quick settings panel like Torch and Dark mode.

🔸Revamped Sound Recorder app - Looks like the Sound Recorder has received an overhaul, finally bringing dark mode and a retro look.

🔸App responsiveness - The changelog notes that apps’ start & run operations have been fine tuned. There’s more smoothness across the system too.
🔸Camera and Gallery changes - These apps have received new controls and a more intuitive layout for seamless editing and adjustments.
Also, I don’t expect to see complex blur effects or transitions with NOS 4.0. Pretty sure they’d still like to keep things minimal and focus more on functionality rather than colourful aesthetics.
The Gallery app could’ve received some AI features though, along with AI writing tools which is the least to expect from an Android skin going forward. However, I believe there’s much more stuff they haven’t revealed in this initial Nothing OS 4.0 teaser. So let’s wait & watch what’s more in store.
What’s your favourite feature from the teaser?
