Deepanshu_Saini_ i feel the energy slider is kinda Bass Booster which boosts the bass to give more engaging sound experience.

As the name suggests ‘energy slider’, it feels like something that will increase/decrease ( boost ) the bass so that the listener gets more energized sound environment.

I guess you can controll the strength of the anc while it’s on. Like low anc high anc etc. If anc is off, i guess it controls the volume. It’s because there are 3 bars on the slider button denoting the strength of anc in ascending order.

Also could be the option to change the Ultra bass setting from level 1 to level 5.

Or it could turn into a speaker when the energy slider is at high, a headphone when it’s low.

My guess for the Energy Slider is that it will let us switch between different sound modes — like Gaming Mode, Bass Boost, Balanced, etc. — and maybe even customize those modes through the CMF mobile app. This way, users can tune the sound experience to their preference on the go. Excited to see if this turns out true! 🔥

Deepanshu_Saini_ With the name energy slider , we can assume something like better performance in terms of sound quality, latency , battery life or a custom switch which can be customised through its application.

In a more better detailed manner , I can say it can have effects like:-

Battery Life ( switching down the slider give better life ).
Latency ( switching on the slider may give best and lowest latency ).
Sound Quality ( can be customised through a software application or have a premade best adjustments by the nothing team , for best sound output , and the input from the mic with best noise cancellation and vocal enhancements).
Also there can be many more features maybe customised through software .

Honestly I am able to guess this only , maybe as it’s NOTHING PRODUCT any banger or industry changer product can’t be predicted as per the previous products from your side 🙂) .

Seems like Energy Slider going to lets us control the sound profile and audio dynamics. I think the energy slider changes the bass of the music, so when you don’t have that much energy, you can lower the base en relax with the voice from the song and when you feel energetic, you can make the base higher and have even more energy

Deepanshu_Saini_ My guess would be it’s a different name of Battery saver maybe? Which when toggled on would go into more power efficient mode.

Another aspect of this would be performance booster, in which you get the best experience with features like anc, bass booster etc are at max potential, maybe you guys might have tuned it based on Indian market liking.

My other guess would be that this might be sort of a DND mode? Where ANC turns on or maybe switch between anc -> transparency -> normal?

My final guess would be that it could be a similar feature like the “Talk” on the ear 3 which we have. When toggled on the noise cancellation is at peak performance.

I think the Energy Slider is a tactile control that adjusts the headphone’s performance balance in real-time. Sliding it one way prioritizes high-fidelity sound with boosted dynamics and clarity, while sliding it the other way optimizes for power efficiency, extending battery life. It basically lets you decide between max performance and max endurance, without diving into menus—just an intuitive hardware control.

OR It probably controls noise cancellation strength—slide it for max ANC or for more transparency so you can hear your surroundings.

The most straightforward use: a tactile slider for quick volume adjustment.
Sliding up/down could increase bass/treble emphasis (more energy to the sound).
A slider could gradually move between full ANC, balanced, and full transparency
Slide up → High-performance mode (strong ANC, richer sound).

Slide down → Energy saver mode (longer battery life).

The slider should be customisable, having said this can’t wait to see what Nothing has innovated this time. Super pumped for it’s launch 🔥

Doesn’t look like an power consumption thing since it’s a slider that has multiple levels. Maybe just controls how the noise cancellation works and the name is more likely a word play.

Or another idea is that it is a slider that at the cost of signal strength you lower it down reducing powers. This also makes sense since when it’s at full minimum it can act as a power down switch

In the video the background audio decreases at one end and we can clearly hear that background audio when it’s turned back off

What if after pairing the headphones the Nothing X app lets you take a test where you can play music you like and it’ll give you different suggestions, adjusting different parameters like the high ends, low ends and the mids. You then pick whichever suit you the best. You’re asked to repeat this for different songs, different genres, different vibes. The app can then keep track of how you prefer to “feel” different genres.

This is because one eq you may like for a genre like rap may not work for a different genre like pop. All have different vibes, different feels.

So, I think through multiple testing and then on top, analysing the song, it’s tones and vibes, the headphones can predict what kind of eq and adjustments it needs to perfectly fit how you like to “feel” the song.

So, while listening to music, you can adjust how much energy you want out of the song. Based on the data and algorithms, it’ll smartly predict how the music needs to be altered to fit your vibe. You can adjust it to be a certain level of energy tho, doesn’t need to be all or none. Because say, while writing, it would be nicer to be low energy but while sketching, I’d love to have all that high energy.

I feel like something like that fits the energy and vibes of CMF as a brand. New, innovative, willing to do things others haven’t while being energetic about it.

EDIT: OMG how did I not see this but the catch phrase for the headphones is Remix Everything. So it definitely has something to do with that. It still fits with my idea where the headphones, using preferences, your data, vibes and smart algorithms predicts how you’d prefer your songs and remixes them accordingly in real time and you can manage the intensity of it by moving the slider. Definitely has something to do with remixing. AAAA SO EXCITING!

1. EQ preset intensity – It probably just changes how “punchy” the sound feels by tweaking the bass and treble. Pushing the slider up gives you heavier bass and brighter highs; pulling it down makes everything sound more neutral.

2. Dynamic or loudness boost – The energy slider might simply control how strong that effect is.

3. Spatial or surround effect strength – On gaming or movie headsets, it could be a control for how intense the virtual surround or 3D audio feels, basically letting you pick how immersive the sound stage.
