Does the Phone 2 Pro Require Specific Cables for Fast Charging?

Hey, does anyone else have the problem of the Phone 2 Pro discharging and losing power whilst being connected to a charger? This only happens when I’m not using the charger cable included in the box.

However, surely we should be able to use which ever cable we want? I’ve never had this problem before with other brands. Even my old Nothing Phone 2a charged up with chargers that weren’t OEM.

Well charging should every cable that’s capable of charging.

To charge at max speed you should have a fast enough capable with the right amper/volt ratio like your phone can handle. If not its charging slower then it could

phone 2 pro u mean cmf right? i also have that, but not facing this issue i used the samsung 25 watt charger and cable was of samsung too it charged normally

the samsung cable charged the phone normally it didnt show that “charging rapidly” text we get using the cmf cable but it doesnt get discharged like u mentioned whilst connected to the charger…. what other cable/adapter you are using? maybe thats the thing causing the issue

I get what you’re both saying. But the same cable can charge my other devices effectively. Including a Honor tablet.

Just confused why it can’t charge the CMF Phone.

Try using branded cables from phone producers.

I have charging my CMF for past 1 months, and noticed it never full charge within 55 min as mentioned officially.

I 👇 accubattery app and noticed the highest speed is 12-14W while charging. So does this not utilizing full 33W?

anyone faced such issues?

I use 33W pps charging brick. And to full charge from 15% to 100 it takes 1hr 40+ minutes.

PrimeAyan I recon that 33W wont always kick in like in any other mobiles. But indeed 33w/44w/80w as advertised is faster in some forms Idk which factors affect the charging speed
Temperature maybe one.

Nicouschulas yes it’s about 38-39°c while charging.

That’s probably the problem, it’s not maximum but still pretty hot so it’s charging slower to protect the battery
