Flip to record doesn’t start or stop recording - help

Hello all, today I noticed that Flip to record does not work anymore. I put the Phone 3 on the table, display facing down and I press and hold the essential key. The glyph matrix is starting to show a line, but nothing else happens. The red record light does not light up, and worse, I cannot stop “the recording”, the essential space is accessible via key, but new recordings or screenshots are not possible until I reboot the phone. Recordings work through the normal recorder app, with the red record light blinking. Am I missing something? I cleared caches on the essential app, but I am kinda stuck. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I was habing the same exact issue on a phone 3, flip to record doesn’t work but regular recording using the quick settings toggle does.

After a while I tried holding the button for longer when the phone is flipped and it works! It still does get stuck when you don’t hold it though.

Omies Woah that helped, thanks!
You basically have to hold it until the phone vibrates a little to start or stop it. I was letting go of the button once the Gliph LEDs started, and then it was getting stuck on just a line.
