Harry_275 It’s there for the name sake all it can do is search apps and widget. On Phone 3 it does more than that. It searches your files, searches the internet and presents the data. As of now the “essential search” you’ve mentioned is nothing but a app search.
SMZ we’ll probably get it in 3.5. with Nothing os 4.0 around the corner. I don’t think we’ll ever get to that. We might or might not get it atp.
