This is your chance to try out the newest features from Nothing OS alongside Android 16 before the official release. **Here’s what you can expect with Nothing OS 4.0 Beta:** ‎ **📱 Phone (3)** Phone (3) introduces the AI usage dashboard in Essential Space, giving you greater transparency over large model activity. This update also includes general improvements and bug fixes, with better lock screen and AOD performance, optimised brightness behaviour, enhanced camera stability, improved Bluetooth stability and compatibility, stronger Wi-Fi connectivity and network stability, and overall system stability enhancements. ‎ **📱 Phone (2), (2a) & (2a) Plus** These devices now include the “Stretch” Camera preset, created with photographer [Jordan Hemingway](https://nothing.community/d/37673), which enhances photos with rich shadows and extended highlights for a more distinctive look directly from the Camera app. In addition, this update brings system-level app optimisation to improve startup speed, available under ***Settings > Apps > App optimisation***. ‎ **Other new features** 🟢 Pop-up View with two floating icons for faster switching ⏱️ Two new lock screen clock faces ↔️ 2×2 Quick Settings tile support 🌑 Extra Dark Mode *(**Settings > Display > Dark theme > Extra dark mode**)* ### ***‎-*** ### **✨ Essential Apps & Playground** Essential Apps are now live. The Search bar in the App Drawer now search for everything on my phone. I want it to search only for Apps.

There is no settings related to it. It’s feels kind off Insecure as Other people will able to see my content when I search for Apps.

Sometimes, after unlocking, the “Atmosphere” doesn’t work for a second. A clear image appears on the lock screen, and then the “Atmosphere” slowly turns on. That’s all I’ve noticed so far.

I know this is still the beta update but I wish to see more updates like more clock styles or even the option to resize and change colour. Adding more ui changes like blue effect and material you theme language. Honestly the update so far is kinda disappointing especially after hyping it so much and waiting for so long. Hoping to see these implemented in the final version

I am highly dissapointed with this update , they wasted a major update. They could’ve improved a lot , like the leaks or fan made versions but they decided to do nothing but add 2 or 3 unnecessary updates , I am a fan of nothing but this update is truly nothing.

Yes if course that’s what every single nothing user has been waiting for this moment a total refreshed ui something new just not a minor update like giving an extra dark mode, essential apps that is even fully functional but only restricted for widgets now @Carl @Rob ⚡️

C’mon guys you have been working on these for a whole lot of months maybe you can given this updates as os 3-3.5 not as a major rollout without no hype in your channels like major jump but I am little bit satisfied with essential apps , playground that’s sound really different from other os that’s what I am expecting in whole ui change
