Kastello Hey! Nothing user here. Really loved the new nothing OS 4.0. But here are a few suggestions from my side:

More customisation options such as custom colours option in the colours tab. Currently we are only able to choose from wallpaper colours and basic colours.
More customisable options for wallpaper, something like dynamic wallpaper and customisable size of the digital time bar, and adding a little animation to the wallpaper while turning on the device would be appreciated.
Options to change app animation style. This could be a few preset options and would be cool to see new animations.

After installation of Nothing OS 4 the haptics are gone worst🤦 previously it’s good haptics but after the update those haptics are too worst , battery draining very fast and heating issues always 42°C if you use single app.like browsing or youtube, quick settings tiles in homescreen not working properly, especially internet tile is stuck showing red like data on but even if you off data connection,it still showing red tile, charging speed issues not improved

RohithTony I do feel the same like NOS 3.2 on my Phone 2a. May be the disappointment in features of NOS 4.0 made you to think in that way. 😜

Looks like they’ll be releasing more updates soon just like Android 16 was launched in parts, where on the first part there was no visual change but it came later.

So I think that they will release more updates soon where they’ll add visual changes and other things. Do you really think that they just added these small things in a big update?

It’s only my assumption not confirmed by any nothing community member.

The actual update we got was so minor and doesn’t looks like it’s the full update.

So now we can just wait to know when will the new update come and with what changes it’ll be coming with.

It’s really sad that I’m bored with my phone. Nothing 2a After I used to love it, this boredom stems from the lack of change and the lack of applications that I can rely on with the character that we love, which is nothing and the distinctive dotted line that distinguishes my phone from other Android phones

I updated in 4.0 and rollback tp 3.2 and their is still option show to update in 4.0

Kastello there are some laggy and late app opening and closing crisp and fluidity smoothness are missing in phone 2a poor ram management and lack of features and customisation. I know I know it’s first beta but still they hyping the update so much it’s not our fault

Nicouschulas there so called artificial intelligence that can’t be replicated in older device just because of that so called essential button…essential search also don’t given that’s why I am thinking of replace it with cmf phone 2 pro but value is not good in replacement…

I’ve been using Nothing OS 4.0 Beta on my Phone (2a) for the last two days, and here are my experiences so far:

1. I noticed slight lag in the Always-On Display animation.

2. After unlocking, the Atmosphere wallpaper takes a little extra time to load.

3. App opening and closing animations feel faster than on 3.0, but sometimes they appear jittery.

4. Dark mode support should be extended to more apps for better consistency.

5. The transparency effect in the OS could have been implemented more effectively.

I want every year a new design, Google added blur please add blur and animations because I’m broke and can’t buy the other brands but I want their style 🥸🤓👆 ahh before I forget please new status bar from Google😭 - (I think this wouldn’t even match good but idk, when they should do their own)

And please guys, nobody cares. I agree in some points like app drawer but bro do you even listen to yourself? “don’t try to build a signature style” 😭 then go to a Chinese company lol.

Yep, this! And we need Dynamic Island and Apple Intelligence also, and a nice Apple logo on the back so our devices will look more modern 🤩

Nicouschulas Average simping freak spotted, nothing UI was itself inspired by previous stock Android designs, guess android changed and nothing stayed right there saying it’s our signature style. Bro it’s not their own style, and most importantly android 16 on nothing phones would just look like older Android phones instead of nothing’s own signature style. I personally don’t have any problem with signature style that really shapes the product identity, but I have objection with nothing perspective to not improving from its very initial days like other brands. I need minimalistic UI but with a touch of Android itself not older versions getting fixed. I like the design but nothing is just skip the software part, released 2 GB of update just for 2 clock face. I got a nothing because I didn’t want Chinese phones, bro it’s a beta update and I have opinions to share so who the f*** are you to tell that what I should want from a brand, just move on…..
