Nothing OS 4.0 feels like just a small step towards beta — but it needs more polish to be truly user-friendly. Always On Display could use fresh features like charging animations (similar to OnePlus) to make it more engaging. Lock screen balance is also off — as seen in the image, space usage feels uneven. Customizable time fonts and better layouts would fix this. Google is pushing expressive lock screen designs. Nothing should match that energy with new styles, personalization, and balance. Rewamp new control center. More i’ll let you know….

Internet and Bluetooth icons should flow from small size to full menu, as it is done with other icons in the quick settings (for instance, modes and screen recorder).

Is it intended that the battery percentage on the AOD refreshes all 2 percent instead of every percent when charging?

Here is all the dissatisfaction from a fan of nothing os and nothing brand itself. There is nothing special in android 16 based OS 4.0 except two new clock faces and extra dark mode, rest updates are useless. If your main usp is simple close to Android UI then why didn’t you follow Android 16 ui style and animations! Current style looks like old android inspired design. Add a bit blur effect and animations in notification panel and app drawer if you really don’t want to mess it up. WTH hell is the app drawer! Why there is a ugly border around the drawer!! And I don’t like the tabs in control centre anymore. Bro do something new and smooth. Don’t try to build a signature style. Add something creative, your new UI designs really feels shallow, great design but no feel good effect, not a single. You guys took 4 months just to deliver this crap..! Although I don’t know whether the final release would be different but as of now we are not really happy with nothing’s sense of design.

I want every year a new design, Google added blur please add blur and animations because I’m broke and can’t buy the other brands but I want their style 🥸🤓👆 ahh before I forget please new status bar from Google😭 - (I think this wouldn’t even match good but idk, when they should do their own)

Nothing New Except 2 clock styles and Darkmode. OS is a lot more optimised that earlier, i can really feel the smoothness while scrolling / opening App

Can you show the new watch style in the lock screen, what does it look like? I’ve seen one of them that’s thicker, but I haven’t seen the second version. And has the problem with green dots at low brightness in a dark room been solved with a darker mode?
