MarcDwyer I was just coming back in here to share the same experience. I tried rolling back and it’s updating me to the beta again.

Anything we can do about this?

At the first time the camera work perfectly. But after beta update if i take any photo, it makes smooth and the detail of photo has gone. I am very unpleased in this range phone camera is getting worse in every update. Some apps Don’t work properly like phone won photo editing option. And over nigh batter drain almost 20%.

There should be a nothing touch in the os changing the every little thing matters mainly in notification on lock screen the animation the type it changes the full experience Good

It appears there’s an issue with third-party Bluetooth headphones, or at least with my B&O Portals.

They connect, and I can flip between the various ANC modes, Bluetooth and WiFi as normal, both using the controls on the headphones and via the B&O app.

However when I try to listen to anything all audio is routed through my phone(3) speakers regardless of the app used.

My Nothing ear (2024) work just fine, and these B&O Portals worked perfectly before the update.

When I downloaded the beta ,the fingerprint scanner wasn’t really working, also you couldn’t reset them or add new ones.

All it needed was a restart to solve it.

Emma what was the focus point on both of the shots, i.e. where did you tap the screen?

The pics I took, I used point and shoot not tapping the screen, however no matter what I do, no matter where I tap, I cannot get the phone 3 to get that shot right, it looks fine in the preview and then the post processing ruines the colours.

Emma do you touch the colour on both pics? And are HDR/UXDR switched off?

Nope, everything is stock settings except for UXDR which is switched off. Settings were exactly the same for both pics. Which suggests its just a small bug, which is too be expected in beta software.

Important bug in essential Glyph Matrix notifications that did work in version 3.5:

I have a rule where, if I receive a notification from a specific app containing a specific word, it activates.

The first notification that comes in activates the Glyph Matrix correctly.
With the second consecutive one, it stops working — the notification disappears from the Glyph Matrix.

Once again, we’re having issues with essential notifications on WhatsApp. It’s a bug I reported and was fixed a few weeks ago, but it’s back with the beta version.

I receive a message from a person I’ve set a rule for (App: WhatsApp – specific contact) – OK
Then I get another message in a WhatsApp group, and the essential notification disappears. If you look at the screen, all WhatsApp messages appear as essential notifications, when in fact only one should be.

I’ve figured out what’s causing the issues with Essential Notifications on WhatsApp.

I created a very SIMPLE WhatsApp rule: “Message notifications” only (all other WhatsApp notification types disabled to avoid conflicts). I selected a specific contact, let’s call her “Alba”.
Essential notifications from Alba work PERFECTLY, as long as she sends a private message on WhatsApp.
When does it break? When you receive a message from Alba in a group. Even though it doesn’t meet the rule, both private and group messages from Alba get grouped together in the same notification bubble on the main screen as an “Essential Notification” — when it shouldn’t be. Result? The Glyph Matrix stops working until you dismiss that grouped notification and Alba stops sending messages in that group.

After the update to 4.0, I have problem to connect via Android Auto.

Actually, Android Auto is not working, I see only charging from the USB. On 3.5 it worked well.

Temporary workaroung is to reboot phone with connected cable. Then I’m suggested to reenable notifications for Android Auto and it works for some time.

Hello, idk if it’s only me or it’s not the case and I’m hallucinating but I noticed that my phone (3)'s battery life is slightly worse on the nothing os 4.0 beta. Will the release version have more optimisation? Other people noticed the same thing? Let me know

I’m getting 10h SoT but

The lack of thermal throttling is present in NOS 4.0beta and the Wild Life Extreme Stress Test crashes.

On nous avait annoncé une révolution. Je suis un peu déçu. Je m’attendais à beaucoup plus de changement. Un peu de couleur. Toujours ce gris et noir. Allez lâchez vous. J’ai envie aussi d’avoir la pastille autour de la caméra comme d’autres le font à la mode d’ Apple.

I would love for Nothing to have nothing like apple stuff please don’t follow or do anything they do. If you love apple stuff try apple not android, wrong place apple fans! Android is not the apple copy book.

Typical SAT for family usage. 5h SoT since morning and 50% (mixture of streaming services, quite a bit of Google Maps, etc…)

We seem to always get the same 10h SoT regardless of firmware update.

What’s every else getting for battery life with NOS 4.0beta?

While it’s worse on 4.0 for me (the camera seems a bit more of a drain) I’m putting it largely down to me forcing 120hz all the time until the YT issue is fixed.
