CMF1_hacker Hello, I will take consideration of your point. And will make a post under “Everything Else > Technology” next time. That is if mods don’t merge it with this like they did for the Closed Beta Post. As I stated in previous posts, I won’t be releasing the app on GitHub because I have worked very hard and hobby doesn’t bring food on plates. Would’ve loved it if it did. I hope you won’t have a problem with that as the app still remains for Nothing users, hence posting it here in the community. Thanks

Also an update: All the slots for the Closed Beta has been filled. The Early Access will start in about 15-16 days (Google’s Policy) can’t wait for you guys to use this app.

I think Essential is an interesting feature, and the more we use it, the more thoughtful, refined, and expanded it will be (I hope). Instead of remapping the button and eliminating Essential Key, I’d like it to remain as is, but with the ability to add functions, for example, combining the Essential button with the Power button and volume buttons to create shortcuts without eliminating its native function.

This is the thing I think a lot of people are misunderstanding.

It doesn’t remove the original functionality.

1 click = Essential Space

2 click or 3 click, open whatever you want.

As someone who has tried, but can’t find a way to use Essential Space I was a little disappointed that it didn’t remove it entirely, but it turns out that I don’t mind clicking it twice to use it in whatever way I see fit.

Plus this way, I could (if I wanted) still use Essential Space.

I paid the tiny price for access because I like convenient apps which let me use hardware I paid a lot for, in ways I see fit! It works fine in this early form and I look forward to seeing more functions

Anonymous994 My point was general; I see people wanting the button to do something else when I don’t think it should. Adding something doesn’t take anything away from anyone, and in fact, I wouldn’t see it as a problem. I wouldn’t like to see the main function sidelined.

I like this app and and willing to pay for it. but i hate the fact that i have to give an app service unlimited access to my phone just because Nothing refuses to listen to its users.

Spandan this app is so helpful in making it easy to use favourite apps with just a few clicks. This app allows the phone to open any selected app using the key.

It’s working as it should for me! I’ve only just received it yesterday but my current config is - 2 press Essential button loads my camera (this used to be my power button). I’ve change my power button two presses to now load Keep Camera. Not sure what I’m going to set my Essential button 3 clicks to yet. Great little app though!
