CMF Watch 3 Pro - Bezel wear

Just curious how your painted aluminium bezels are handling daily usage. My paint is beginning to wear and it will be "Sharpie"-time soon. I can't expect the world for £79, can I? I naively assume that the silver is just bare unpainted aluminium and might wear better. Stereobasic I’m OK with that actually … the funny thing is that the phone is quite nice to use on a daily basis 😃

the screen is excellent, as is the screen sensitivity and the lay out.

I’ve found that memory is limited (256MiB) which forces BT transfer to phone all the time, but overall it’s well worth the £79. I just leave a black Sharpie next to the charger and cover the bezel every so often when I charge it.

I’ll put it through it paces though as I always do with everything I own.

CMF1_hacker I got the same watch and the same problem

There are some scars that can’t be over painted with a Sharpie.

I wonder if the other colours have the same problems.

L0uis I was hoping that other people would post, so thank you. I assume that it is some type of slightly malleable aluminium alloy.

I also assume that the silver model would be the most resistant due to shape.

I would assume that the third watch will face the same issue.

Surprisingly, my light gray W2P are going really well and look like a new ones. Using them from May this year. But I have another problem with a band turning out dirty over time so I have to clean it often and often… I like the material, but how it gets dirty is like🫣

The touch up recommendations and the 8015F does an excellent job in about 15 seconds.

Heading to a Diwali celebration this evening and have to look good.

DJ I think the watch gets scratched which I’m madhandling my children’s bike into the car or when doing some DIY.

Lab markers/tape solve most life issues I’ve found.

edit: nope, after a weekend of collar-shirt wear, ie with storing cuffs, all of the aluminium is bare again. I think the watch continuously rubs (I’m right handed and wear the watch on my left wrist) on my shirt cuffs and wears the paint off, It seems. I wear shirts with cuffs 24/7 unless in bed or at the gym, and roll up the sleeves in the summer. It seems this wears the paint/powdercoat off quickly (1 month) and only in the locations shown.

L0uis the other thing, I have left to try is black enamel, i.e. paint and then just use it. I expect some wear and tear on my items and I do expect this when I go budget. I usually spend more on this (£99+) for a backpack that I cycle with daily, so I have to expect/accept some compromises. I didn’t think it would be so fast though.

CMF1_hacker this is the problem with watch 2 pro as well, a very little strike of your wrist here and there by mistake and the whole paint chips of with minute dents if a thing is made replaceable (interchangeable bezel) shouldn’t mean it should be that easy to wear off

Mine looks the same after 2 weeks and no hard bumps again anything. I think just a jacket or other long sleeves with buttons or cuffs wears off the paint very quickly. Yes, its 79€ only but I expected a bit more from CMF here. I like the Design, the Display but I expected more quality here, my Amazfit Active 2 looks way more quality after 2 month at the same price tag
