Left Nothing (ear) only charging to 90%

Anyone else had this happen? I use both throughout the day pretty evenly but recently I noticed when taking the left one out of the case it’s always at 90%.

Is this just them starting to diminish? Only had them less than a year but I do use them extensively everyday.

Wireless earbuds don’t last long in general, they are pretty much ewaste from the start and if you use them often like you do then about one year sounds normal before experiencing such issues (sadly).

If you used them less frequently they’d last ~2 years before starting to show those same problems, unfortunately. Happens with all TWS, not just with Nothing’s, as those batteries are very small so their degradation is quite rapid 😐

Nah, my old JBL worked over 3 years but then I sadly lost them. It’s possible and my ear seem fine till now (1 year daily usage around 5 hours I think)

G_Wood TWS excel at convenience, they are second to none there, but their longevity is, unfortunately, super-short 🙁 I have these for almost two years, they are excellent, I don’t even use them that frequently, and now they barely last enough to listen two longer podcasts or watch a movie (7-8 hours of usage when they were new):😁

Exactly, those 3.5 mm port was superb. Now also I purchased phone with 3.5mm port.

And a common mistake for buds users in general : stop put the buds in the charger box when they have enough remain’ charge. Putting them in charger destroy the battery longevity 😎 (with permanent micro charges).

Anonymous932 that’s a good point, never thought of that. Be cool if we could set a minimum charge in the nothing x app so they only charge when they get how low you set it.

Nicouschulas 3 years of a regular multi-hour daily usage where you average 0.8 cycle per day? They are rated at 500 cycles, so 625 days. Not saying 3 years is not possible, just saying that 3 years of listening them daily for 4-8 hours is highly unlikely to ever happen even with the most expensive ones. Odd lucky ducks happen though.

Yeah and maybe a max charge, like on our phones (for example 90%)

My brother bought the same and used it also 3 years so no luck at all (I think). Our case broke at the same places etc but Akku wasn’t a problem at all.

For everyone wondering it’s the JBL tune 215 tws. Nothing special

Btw I bought for roundabout 30€ 3 years of Akku warrenty for my ear so if the Akku gets bad they replace it so. Would recommend it to everyone!

munnasharma Yeah, the 3.5mm jack is vital. It’s almost like whatever Apple does just magically becomes the gold standard as if the world has no choice but to follow.
